Personal Teacher Programmes The Personal Teacher Programme
is designed for those who wish not only for an immersion stay in carefully
selected host families, but also an individually designed intensive EFL
course taught by a qualified teacher in the host family. We offer a wide choice of
locations, with host families carefully selected to the highest standard
appropriate to this course. The host family provides a
private bedroom with full board and participation in daily family life,
enabling the student to maximise opportunities for social and cultural
activities. A diagnostic test is given on
the first day by the teacher to determine the student's level of proficiency.
From this information the teacher will individually structure the students
programme to achieve the maximum result for the time available. The course is
suitable for all levels, from beginner to those needing specialist courses Tuition can be provided for 15,
20 or 25 hours per week and normally take place in the mornings, Monday to
Friday. Although these hours form a concentrated learning structure, there is
ample opportunity to practice linguistic skills with the host family. What
